Demographic and etymological data presented in the Tyranski archive comes from publicly available databases and dictionaries. Below is a list of the main sources.

• Institute of Polish Language, PAN — Polish surname databases and statistics.
• Forebears.io — international surname distribution database.
• Warsaw Dictionary of the Polish Language — historical meanings of the word "tyran".
• Parish archives and baptismal registers (incl. Chrzanow county, Kutno municipality).
• IPN archival materials on 20th-century fates of Tyranski families.

Methodology

Archive entries are verified against their source before publication and marked with a "Source verified" seal. Numeric data is updated periodically as new information arrives from users and public registers.
